THE DIFFERENCE
What a Handmade Weft is, and why nobody else in Dublin makes one
Three of the four methods above, you can find elsewhere in this city. This one you cannot, and it is worth understanding why.
Almost every weft fitted in Ireland arrives ready made. A machine sews the hair onto a thick seam, in a standard width, in a standard shade, for a standard head. Your stylist then cuts it down to fit you, and the cut edge starts shedding from the first wash.
Sâmila works the other way round. She measures your head, blends your shade from the hair in the studio, and then ties the weft by hand, one small section at a time. It takes her [CONFIRMAR: X] hours per head, before you ever sit in the chair.
What comes out is a seam about a third the thickness of a machine weft. Thin enough to vanish under fine hair. Light enough to sit flat through a full day. Cut to your width, so there is no raw edge to unravel.

Texture, density and the length you want are checked, and the method is chosen together. Your shade is matched against the hair in the studio. You leave with a written quote. Nothing is ordered yet, and nothing is charged.

Your shade blend, your width, your density. This happens before your fitting date, which is why fitting day is calmer than most.
Steps 1, 3, 4 and 5 are the same for every method. Step 2 exists only for the Handmade Weft, because it is the only one that has to be built before it can be fitted.

Will hair extensions damage my natural hair?
That depends on the method and on the aftercare, and anyone who answers with a flat no is selling. The handmade weft and nano bonds use no heat and no adhesive at all, so nothing bonds to the hair shaft. Keratin bonds are heat sealed and tape in uses adhesive, both safe when they are fitted and removed properly, both unforgiving if you skip your move-up. Sâmila picks the method around what your hair can take, and tells you plainly when it cannot take one of them.
Do you do keratin bonds, tape in and nano bonds as well?
All four, in the same studio, by the same person. That is unusual in Dublin, where most stylists train in one method and fit it to everyone. It is also the reason the consultation is free: choosing the wrong method is far more expensive than an hour of her time.
How long do handmade weft extensions last?

How long does the appointment take?
